It is important for you to understand my approach to counseling. My counseling ministry is within the context of a church and all my advice and perspectives are deeply rooted in biblical theology. Attitudes, emotions, relationships and behaviors are examined in light of God's wisdom and will for a person's life. I start and end every session in prayer.
I primarily take a cognitive behavioral approach examining how you think, which affects how you feel, behave and interpret others. You are truly transformed by the renewing of your mind (Rom. 12:2; Eph. 4:23). I strive to get to the truth about your life and difficulties (Eph. 4:15), and then to find and utilize the wisdom and strategies that will help you grow. However, growth is your responsibility, no one can do it for you. It is my great desire to see you free to live that abundant life that Christ has made available to you (John 10:10).
